...also “known” as Pestilence (and even spelled Mortaly Abjust, haha..) was a band that I/we just had  to start.

My taste of music had changed radically since the releases of “Master of Puppets”, "Pleasure To Kill" and “Reign in Blood”. My new passion musically as for Thrash Metal had taken its bizarre grip over my life. At its most intense phase, the band rehearsed almost 8 days a week, and really hectic schedule had popped up all of a sudden.

On the gig front – well, I wouldn’t lie if we at least entered any stage of some kind once a month for a year and a half. And indeed, it was great fun!

On guitar there was Johnny "BC RICH" Dordevic (later on also in Carnage and Entombed), bass and vocals were handled by Mikael "Mr. Sodom" Nicklasson (Luciferion, Dark Tranquillity) ..a demo was recorded during 24 hours in a row at a youth centre kinda place called BG (that hosted a lot of future “celebrities” such as Mike Amott etc.). The reason for this long term recording was mainly due to our inability to get the porta studio working properly, *lol*.. anyway, we made sure to get the best sound-quality possible. Means we recorded it on a Maxell Gold C-90 Chrome cassette. I still have the "master tape" here somewhere (and I found it too, on the b-side of the Devourment tape!). As soon as it's been found I'll do my best to put it streaming up as a much delayed appetizer on the upcoming music section here on this site (well, I'm not so sure about that...).

All of a sudden, I recall one of the song-titles: "Into The Swamp"!! The first lines were something like "Wet, tired and hungry, we are going into the swamp" .. holy shit, why do I remember so much?!

Later on in the “career” we also recruited a second guitarist: Fredrik "Riktig Metal" Ernerot (No Remorse, Temperance). It was somewhere around here that I almost  lost the hearing on my right ear. The addition of a second amp (imagine one of the guitars going through a 120 W 70's bass amp!!) made wonders as for the overall "thrash till death"-feel, but... who can stand such a "seismic overdose" for too long?

Still, I am able to hear just about everything & anything! J
